What We Are
Continuum Pulse exists because most companies buying AI get one of two things: consultants who produce strategy decks but never ship, or engineers who ship fast but without architectural thinking. We do both.
The consulting side operates as a CAIO practice. We take on AI leadership for companies that need senior technical direction but are not ready for a full-time C-suite hire. We set the roadmap, architect the systems, and mentor the team to carry it forward.
The incubation side builds vertical AI products in domains where data is complex and expertise is scarce. Our first venture, OlympicOS, applies compound AI to youth sports development. The R&D behind it sharpens every system we architect for clients.
Our work extends into safety-critical AI, where the engineering standards applied to medical devices and aviation software meet the reality of systems people depend on.
The Founder
Ricardo Sousa holds a PhD in machine learning and has spent 15+ years building AI systems that run in production, not in research papers.
During a decade at Farfetch he led the AI team responsible for an information retrieval platform matching shoppers to garments across individual preferences, a computer vision-powered visual search engine, and a multimodal conversational agent. That work generated $16M+ in measurable revenue and served millions of users. He managed a department producing $20M in annual revenue.
He founded Continuum Pulse to give companies access to PhD-level AI leadership without the overhead of a permanent hire, and to channel ongoing R&D into vertical AI products that strengthen the infrastructure behind every client engagement.
